Tournament format

Intermediate level

Entry fee: 10 euro + registration

7 rounds of 5-point matches
pairings via Swiss system

Advanced level

Entry fee: 150 euro + registration

7 rounds of 7-point matches
pairings via Swiss system
clock: 12 min/match + 12 sec/move (Bronstein)

Optional quarter entries
Entry fee: 35 euro per person for the first 5 quarter entries, 37.50 euro afterwards

Four players play semi-finals and a final
(5-point or 7-point matches).
The winner gets a 150 euro entry ticket for the Advanced level.

Accommodation

Leuven is a great place to spend to weekend with its beautiful historic centre boosting one of the oldest universities in Europe, a famous city hall, and a beginage recognised by the UNESCO as a world heritage site. Pubs and restaurants abound in the neighbourhood around the Oude Markt and the Grote Markt. Shops are concentrated on the Bondgenotenlaan and the Dieststestraat.
